This evening we are pleased to be hosting Richard Mead, a South London based photographer and active member of Lenses of Croydon.

Richard is a mature student, studying for a Photography BA (Hons) degree at London South Bank University. Specialising in Editorial and Documentary, he likes to capture natural, unposed images of his subjects.

Despite this, he is venturing into fine art. Suffering from PTSD resulting from his time in the emergency services and a survivor of Domestic Violence, his Dimensions of Dysmorphia project focuses on the male body and how mental health can affect our perception of our bodies. This project is a way of coping with his mental health.

As part of his degree, Richard recently released the Signs of Protest Zine – focussing on the A-Level U-Turn protests of 2020, and he kindly donated a copy for this evenings prize draw. While any size donation is welcomed, donations of £3 will entitle you to an entry into the evening’s prize draw, and a donation of £5 will give you 2 prize draw entries and so forth.
