On Tuesday 20th April, we are excited to be hosting Robin, one of the international members of Lenses of Croydon who is based in the United States.

Robin is an artist with a passion for photography and capturing the things she loves in camera. She has six children at home, a Brady Bunch family of five boys and one little girl and is married to an artist. Robin started photography ten years ago when her boys were younger with a Canon Rebel she purchased from Craigslist. She recognized how quickly they were growing up and wanted to capture the daily moments of their childhood. Although she started out capturing lifestyle images, she also began documenting their imaginations through fantasy composite work and branched off to other genres of photography as well. From planning and sketching, painting backdrops, designing props, sewing costumes, and whipping up hair updos, Robin loves the entire creative process of putting ideas into fruition and creating. Whether it is an intentional series with a message she wants to convey, a conceptual piece, a fantasy composite, or a documented snapshot of everyday life, Robin finds artistic release, healing, and calmness in her life with photography.

We will be raffling something photography related for the evening’s special prize draw. While any size donation is welcomed, donations of £3 will entitle you to an entry into the evening’s prize draw, and a donation of £5 will give you 2 prize draw entries and so forth.
